The "Pecan Truffle" (Tuber lyonii but sometimes called Tuber Texense) is found living symbiotically with Pecan trees in the Southern US states of Georgia, Florida and Texas. 

Pecan Truffles, used to be considered a waste product by pecan farmers but today the Pecan Truffle is considered a white truffle and is earning a good reputation among the chefs who have used them. They are becoming so popular that prices can hit $100 a pound.
