Consider this Bok Choy Soup recipe a “basic” version and feel free to customize it with ingredients that you already have. For example, julienned Onions, diced Chicken,  Shrimp , Dumplings or Pork Meatballs, might all be nice additions. Smart Kitchen teaches you how think and cook like a chef! Not like a robot.

Either make some White Chicken Stock at home or use a store bought brand. Separate the Bok Choy leaves from the bulb and wash the Bok Choy leaves as you would wash and Prepare Spinach. You can discard the bulb or reserve it for Vegetable Stock. Break out your cutting board and mince the Ginger and the Garlic.

Begin the active phase by adding all of the ingredients, except for the Bok Choy itself, into a medium-sized Sauce Pan. Bring the ingredients to a Boil using High Heat.

When the ingredients are Boiling, reduce the heat to maintain a simmer and add in the Bok Choy leaves. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes. Season and set aside.

Serve the Bok Choy Soup warm.
