We appreciate Fisher® Nuts sharing this sweet irresistable Pecan Caramel Roll recipe. If you wish to try your own riff, add 2 or 3 t of Orange Zest to the topping.

Preparation

Assuming that you are working straight through, start your Preparation, the second of Smart Kitchen's 4 Levers of Cooking, by pre-heating your oven to 375º F.

While the oven heats, press or roll the Pizza Crust out to a 12 x 8-inch rectangle. Brush the rectangle with the 2 T of softened Butter using a Pastry Brush. Sprinkle with ¼ C Brown Sugar and 1 T of Cinnamon.

Roll the dough, starting from long side, until it forms a long tube.

If you are working through, proceed to the Method section below. If you are working ahead, you can refrigerate the tube of dough in an airtight container for a day or two until you are ready to proceed.

You could also freeze the tube, again in an airtight container, for a month or more. Make sure to properly defrost and Temper the dough before use.

Method

For the Method, the active phase of the Recipe, we are assuming that you have completed the Preparation mentioned above. This means that your oven should be pre-heating to 375º F and you should have a long tube of dough.

If you have those things covered, take your long tube of dough (properly Tempered and/or defrosted) and cut it into 9" rounds with a Chef's Knife or similar, then set aside for a moment.

Next, combine the remaining 3 T of softened Butter and ½ Cup of Brown Sugar with the 2 t of Corn Syrup and the 2 t of water.

Spread into lightly greased 8 or 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with Pecans.

Place rolls cut-side down in prepared pan. Bake in a 375°F oven 20 to 22 min. or until browned. Cool 1 min., then loosen and turn onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
