Almonds’ soft texture, mild, nutty flavor, and light color (when Blanched and skinned) make for a pleasant dairy alternative, Almond Milk. Especially, when Almond Milk is flavored with Vanilla or Chocolate. Commercial Almond Milk is also sometimes enriched with vitamins.

Production

Almond Milk is made from processed Almonds and is a popular soy/dairy-free Milk substitute.

Almond Milk can be made by any home chef by combining ground Almonds with water in a blender. The base recipe can be adjusted for consistency by adding either more Almonds or more water. The taste can be adjusted by the addition of Vanilla Extract, Chocolate Extract, Sugar or other sweeteners such as Honey.

Storage

Unopened Almond Milk can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Once opened, Almond Milk must be refrigerated.

If unopened, Almond Milk's Shelf Life stored at room temperature is approximately 1-2 months. Once opened, Almond Milk will last approximately 1-2 weeks refrigerated.
