Cinnamon compliments Sweetness and is Aromatic.

Cinnamon is available all year round.

In its original form, it was the Dried Bark of the Cinnamon Tree that grew 35'-50' high. Now it is grown in a Shrub form to make it easier to harvest. The Bark is cut from the trunk and large branches, then rolled very tightly and left to Dry. Once of the most valued Spices at the beginning of the Spice Trade. Originally, from as island called Ceylon (modern day Sri Lanka), which is at the tip of India.

Culinary Uses

When using Cinnamon in the kitchen, it is always best to use the whole pieces since the ground cinnamon loses its properties quickly. Normally used alongside Sugars to Sweeten Desserts.
