Extra Fancy Rice is a “grade” of finished Rice that is applied to both White Rice and Brown Rice and is the highest standard specified by the United States Secretary of Agriculture. For White Rice, an Extra Fancy grade means that the Rice is comprised of well-milled whole kernels that are white or creamy in color with almost no broken kernels and no foreign material mixed in. The specifics of the standard are similar, but different, for Extra Fancy Brown Rice.
