Orange Raspberries are a mutation of Red Raspberries, the only difference being their color. Like the red variety, cold-hardy orange raspberries thrive in the cool climate of the Pacific Northwest. Today nearly all varieties of raspberries are commercially cultivated. November through March the berries are grown in hoop houses to protect them from colder weather.

Orange Raspberries offer a creamy flavor, and is more mild than a Red Raspberry. The orange raspberry is deep yellow when immature, developing a rich, amber-orange color when ripe and turning burnt-orange when overripe.
