An Appetizer Plate are designated to hold "bite-sized" Appetizers, including but not limited to Charcuterie, Fruit, Crudite, Cheese, etc. They are typically 4-7 inches in diameter, making them a little bigger than a Bread Plate. They also tend to have slightly curved edges without any indentation.

Culinary Uses

When Plating, it is pretty easy to confuse an Appetizer Plate with a Bread Plate. If confronted with both at once, just know that Appetizer Plates are a bit larger.

They are meant to hold Appetizers, which are typically a single-bite food item, but Appetizer Plates can hold Fruit, Cheese, Charcuterie, etc.
