Omega-3 Alpha-Linolenic acid (LNA) or Omega-3 fatty acids are a so called “Essential” fatty acid that our bodies need but cannot synthesize.

Nutrition
To get them you have to eat them. Omega-3 fatty acids are use by the body in our eyes, hair, skin, brain, heart, nerves and joints, literally everywhere. Omega-3s also help reduce the risk of heart disease, improve dry skin conditions, enhance brain function and reduce inflammation associated with arthritis.Only a few polyunsaturated oils contain omega-3s. Flaxseed oil is nature’s most abundant vegetarian source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids followed by Pumpkin Seed Oil, Walnut Oil and Soybean Oil. Of the monounsaturated fats, only Canola Oil contains a measurable amount of omega-3 fatty acids.
